What is Glass Fusing?

It is joining together pieces of glass at high temperature in a kiln oven. Most contemporary fusing methods involve stacking, or layering thin sheets of glass, often using different colours to create patterns or images. Pieces can also be shaped using a mould in a separate firing.

You will introduced to:

The different colours and formats of art glass and how this can influence the outcome of your piece(s)
What glass fusing is and how different temperatures affect glass behaviour
How glass is shaped
How to nip, bend and grind glass
How to choose, design and create your project

What’s included in the Price:

All materials, tuition, tools, glass firing costs and refreshments.
Class sizes are limited to six adults to ensure you are given greater personal attention and plenty of space to work.
Your creation can be collected when fired or can be posted at an additional cost.

Safety equipment and advice will be given throughout.
